Photos of proposed site and design plans for the Three Sisters Bridge over the Potomac River as a part of the Potomac River Freeway/Interstate 66. The Three Sisters Bridge plan proposed in 1961 was strongly opposed by most residents of the area and many city officials, and the plan was canceled fully in 1977 after many protests and political and legal battles.
