Description

Photographs of the year long rehabilitation of the P Street Bridge (Lauzon's Legion Bridge). The current P Street Bridge was built in 1935 and crosses over Rock Creek in a section of Rock Creek Park between the Dupont Circle area and Georgetown. The bridge was renamed the Lauzon's Legion Bridge in 2006 in honor of a Revolutionary War legion of foreign soldiers though it is still popularly known as the P Street Bridge.
